Querystead™ by SageRock Request access

For solo and small-firm lawyers

Every client question answered. Every new inquiry caught.

Querystead™ is the front office for your law practice. It answers routine client questions from your own material, day or night, replies to new inquiries while they are still interested, and sends people who need a consultation to your calendar. It never gives legal advice. You keep the law.

Request access How it works

The front office a one-lawyer practice can’t staff

An inquiry that arrives at 9 p.m. waits until morning, and some of those people call the next firm on the list.

Clients email the same questions between your meetings, and more of them now arrive with an answer from ChatGPT that doesn’t fit your state or your practice.

Every one of those emails is time away from the work only you can do.

What Querystead does

Client communications

Answers routine client questions by email and through a private portal with your firm’s name on it, around the clock, from your own articles, handouts and FAQs. When a generic answer doesn’t fit your state, it says so. Anything about a client’s own situation goes to you.

Client intake

A short intake page you link from your website. New inquiries reach you by email the moment they arrive, and every one is listed on your dashboard.

Scheduling

Right after they write in, new clients pick a consultation time from your own calendar, so the appointment lands where you already work. Works with Microsoft Bookings today.

Where it stops

  • It never gives legal advice. It explains how things generally work, then hands anything specific to you.
  • Urgent matters, deadlines, a recent death, someone losing capacity: it doesn’t try. It sends the client straight to you.
  • It always says it’s an AI assistant, never you. Your clients meet it by name: Kai, or a name you choose.
  • It never touches your trust account or moves money.
  • When a question needs you, you get an email. You see every client question and inquiry, and you decide how long they are kept.

How it works

  1. We gather your own material: articles, handouts, and the answers you give over and over.
  2. You get a private client portal with your firm’s name on it, an email address your clients write to, and an intake page for your website.
  3. It answers what your material covers and sends you everything else.
  4. We set it up and keep it running. You don’t learn new software.

Already at work

Querystead runs today for a solo estate planning practice in Northeast Ohio. Her clients get answers from her own material, and her question log shows her what they are asking.

Your clients’ information

Every firm gets three short documents at the start: how our AI providers handle data, how the system stores it, and a schedule where you choose how long things are kept. We have data processing agreements with both AI providers we use.

Querystead is taking on a small number of founding firms. Tell us about your practice and Sage Lewis will be in touch. He has run SageRock since 1999, he’s a law student, and he’ll tell you plainly whether this fits your practice. Pricing depends on how much of the work you hand us, and we’ll give you a number after one conversation.

Please don’t include any client information.
